Natashia Evette Hagans was born in Portsmouth, Virginia, on August 13, 1978. Natashia grew up in Washington, D.C., and Maryland. She has a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. Natashia has a lot of experience working with young children and is currently working with young children. Her hobbies include writing, reading, meditation, traveling, shopping, going to the movies, and trying new food at different restaurants. Natashia has many passions, but writing poetry inspires her the most. She has collectively written poems and engaged in spoken word on many platforms. Natashia's first platform for spoken word was at a church function for women. She wrote a poem called “ Sista Hold on Tight to the Rope,” later published in an anthology called: “Women Living in All Circumstances.” Natashia went on to write her first poetry book called “Unfolding of the Mind through Rebirth” in March of 2020 around the pandemic. Natashia has gone on to collaborate with a group of women in an anthology called: “31 Day Deliverance for Women. “The book discusses women pushing through despite trials. She has written her own Journal called: “I am a Butterfly, “ a journal for women who can’t seem To find their butterfly wings. In 2022 and 2023, Natashia wrote two books of poetry called “Uncaged Butterfly” and “Pretty Wings.” Natashia has published poetry in several magazines. The magazines include “Andrenee Corner Newsletter,” “Coffee and Wine,” “Pretty Woman Hustle,” and “Be Off, “a Christian magazine. Another great endeavor Natashia has engaged in is a book project of poetry with African American women. The scrapbook includes black women across America writing a collection of poetry. In the scrapbooks, Natashia wrote a poem called “Packing her Bags,” about a woman who has had enough and moved on with life. Natashia is a mental health advocate for mental health because of her battle and struggles with mental health. In October 2020, Natashia Hagans hosted a “Mental Health Chat “with Sharon RG from “The Mending Meditation “. The Mental chat was a great experience to bring awareness around domestic violence and mental health. Natashia became so passionate about mental health after this mental health chat she enrolled in a Master life coach class and received a certificate of completion as a Master Life Coach recently on October 9, 2021. Natashia has taken her coaching experience to social media, starting an “ I am A Butterfly Movement” for women to accept where they are. On her Social Media platform, she gives ladies and gentlemen wise advice on managing their mental health. Natashia believes strongly in breaking the Stigma around talking about mental health and provides valuable resources to help encourage people that they are enough and that mental illness does not make the complete person. Natashia has hosted many successful vision boards, poetry slams, and chats to encourage people, especially women, to follow their visions and dreams. Some of the organizations she has donated to and become involved in are” the National Association for Mental Illness,“ My Sister Keeper“ and the Boris J Henson Foundation” both organizations bringing awareness around mental health. Currently, Natashia is expanding her vision to higher heights and has formed a business called “ Issaflower, L.L.C., something she has always wanted to manifest. The vision behind Issaflower is to have self-care natural products for women through handmade natural items such as Poetry, essential oils, and so much more. Eventually, the business will expand to higher heights. But a statement that Natashia firmly believes in is “stay true to your purpose because you are a delicate flower,” meaning that no matter who you are or what you are going through, you will bloom like a flower.
